Mexican Studies/Estudios Mexicanos incoming editor is interested in continuing the journal's foundational mission, while finding new ways to increase MSEM’s visibility throughout Mexico and to intensify interdisciplinary dialogue within the pages of MSEM.

It’s a crucial time to be researching these topics, and I look forward to contributing to the understanding of how deliberative democracy can shape the region’s future.

Illegal mining for critical minerals needed for the global renewable energy transition is increasingly driving deforestation in Indigenous lands in the Amazon.
