UC Press Welcomes the Journal of Religion and Popular Culture

We are pleased to announce that the Journal of Religion and Popular Culture (JRPC) is joining UC Press's journals publishing program. The first issue published by UC Press will be Volume 37, No. 1, in Spring 2025.

The Journal of Religion and Popular Culture is a peer-reviewed journal committed to the academic exploration, the analysis and interpretation, from a range of disciplinary perspectives, of the interrelations and interactions between religion and religious expression and popular culture, broadly defined as the products of contemporary mass culture.

The journal is published three times per year and is edited by David Feltmate (Auburn University at Montgomery).

Submissions are now being accepted through Scholastica.
